The book I chose to read is Slaughter house Five by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. I have never read a Kurt Vonnegut and have been meaning to for a while due to what I've heard about his work.  

The song I chose is “Fly by night" by Rush. This song demonstrates that you can

start over at any time you want. I relate to this because this song reminds me of when I

had moved to Michigan. When I moved here it had seemed as if I had actually started

over since I had been in New York for 13 years it was weird to just start fresh. I chose

this song because it is one of my favorites. The lyrics in this song just make me feel

happy because of the happy melody in the background. The lyrics make me think about

th 8 grade when I had moved to Michigan. I first learned about this when I had first heard

there song limelight and from there I branched out to a bunch of different rush songs like

tom sawyer, Spirit of radio, free will and fly by night.  The last line of the last verse is

“My life begins today” which brings me back to my first day of west hills where my new

life had then began. This song’s gives me a new opening to what the world has to offer. If

where I am doesn't work then I can just leave and start again. “Fly by night, goodbye my

dear My ship isn't coming and I just can't pretend”
